Riverside Mic - My Gravity

Attention hip-hop enthusiasts! It’s DJ Meladik here, and I’m thrilled to announce the release of "My Gravity," the latest track from Riverside Mic, the underground artist making waves straight out of Riverside, California. Known as the "Ghost Rider of the Underground," Riverside Mic is here to redefine what authentic hip-hop means, steering clear of the Dr. Seuss rhymes and microwaved fast-food versions of the genre that flood the mainstream.

This powerful track was crafted at Lockout Studios over a beat I produced, thanks to the incredible talents of Jae Harp. Together, we’ve created a soundscape that reflects the raw, unfiltered essence of hip-hop. Riverside Mic’s lyrical prowess and unique perspective shine through, making "My Gravity" not just a song, but an anthem for those who crave depth and authenticity in their music.

In a musical landscape often dominated by superficial trends, Riverside Mic stands as a beacon of integrity. His lyrics challenge listeners to dig deeper and appreciate the artistry behind real hip-hop. With lines that resonate with experience and wisdom, he invites us to confront societal norms and encourages us to embrace our individuality. This track is a reminder that hip-hop should provoke thought and inspire change, rather than just serve as background noise.

"My Gravity" embodies the spirit of the underground scene, celebrating creativity and self-expression. It’s a powerful reminder that hip-hop can—and should—be a platform for genuine voices. Riverside Mic refuses to compromise his vision or his message, and that’s what sets him apart in an era where authenticity can often feel rare.

Recording at Lockout Studios was a transformative experience for both Riverside Mic and me. The energy in the studio was electric, and every element of the track came together seamlessly. Jae Harp’s production elevates the song, providing a gritty yet melodic backdrop that perfectly complements Riverside Mic’s hard-hitting lyrics. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to keeping the art form alive and thriving, rooted in the values that define true hip-hop.

As we release "My Gravity," we invite you to join Riverside Mic on this journey. This track isn’t just for the casual listener; it’s for those who appreciate the struggle, the hustle, and the art behind the music. We want you to feel the weight of every word and the passion that went into creating this piece.

So, mark your calendars and get ready to experience "My Gravity." Listen, share, and let’s keep the true spirit of hip-hop alive! Together, we can create a movement that honors the roots of the genre while paving the way for future generations. Peace, love, and authentic vibes!

CopyWrite - Sorrow - Feat illogic - Video

Welcome back soldiers. The resistance is still alive and operative. Although Todays message is nearly a year old, All we want from you this holiday season is to finish the year on the right foot. We strongly suggest watching the Official Music Video to the Song "Sorrow" By CopyWrite and iLLogic.

Watch the video then look in the mirror and kill a few demons, Shake it off, hit the streets and destroy a few robots. Life is short and if we are not focused on our mission, time may end up being our worst enemy.

MutantEmcee.com is always going to support real Hip Hop and we all know Copywrite is a very talented lyricist. Most of us cringe when we hear local stations play music without soul. Radio Station do their job like working at a wherehouse factory. They push the button without even giving artists like Copywrite or iLLogic a chance. It is even harder to fatom our resentment when artists like Copywrite release music with postive or meaningful messages only to stand an even lesser chance of real radio play.

If and when the resistance prevails we solemnly swear that we shall "lock ourselves in a room and congregate until we have a true farm system for discovering artists" just as the New York Yankees or Detroit Tigers use to find talented ball players. Lyricists with the talent of Copywrite need to be heard, even more so with the message are from the heart and real life expiernces.

If you dont who Copywrite is we suggest you clear you schedule and get your google on. Everyone else can can peep the video and catch the next update from Copywrite on his Facebook Page.

Now Playing Ricky Mena

Mutant Emcee Radio is now featuring the Bay Area Freshman of The year Ricky Mena. You can vote for him on Facebook at facebook.com/BayAreaFreshmen10 and follow him on Twitter @RickyMena22 for more updates. Get to know the very talented lyricist and peep his bio and video below.

Ricky Mena was born two months premature, while his mother was 10,000 feet in the air on a flight to Kentucky; In short, Ricky Mena was born to fly.

Although his birth place is Fort Knox, Kentucky, Ricky moved to Oakland, California at an age too young for him to remember. As a young child, Ricky fell in love with music. While still in diapers, Ricky would sit at his grandmother’s record player listening to old Beatles albums while wearing headphones bigger than his head. As Ricky grew older, he became addicted to the lyric aspect of music. Ricky began writing lyrics of his own at the age of 9 in the form of poetry, and by the age of 12 he began combining those poems with some of his favorite instrumentals. After recording his first song on cassette tape with just a tape recorder and mic, Ricky knew he would dedicate his life to his music.

At the age of 2 Ricky's family moved to Pittsburgh, California where he was heard by a local DJ by the name of, “Slammin Sam,” who introduced Ricky to, “Rappin 4’tay." Through their collaboration, Ricky was able to record his first professional song, “Get Ready,” at just 16 years of age. Just three years later, Ricky released his first album titled, “This is me.” His second album titled, “Warrior,” was released when Ricky was just 21 years old. Shortly thereafter, Ricky moved to Long Beach, California, where he focused his efforts on his success and “making it big.” Ricky successfully networked his music, and was able to create a mix tape titled, “Above and Beyond.” Since then he has been able to work with a number of notable artists, including. B-Real of Cypress Hill, Hood Surgeon (Dr. Dre’s son), Tekneek (Kurupt’s producer), Mellow Man Ace, and many more.

Currently, Ricky resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, where in 2010, he began booking a large number of live performances at local venues. Since doing so, he has seen both his fan base and his presence in the Bay Area’s music scene, grow significantly. Ricky’s fans know him as a hard working man, and respect his dedication to his music. Tired of working hard labor, Ricky feels the urgency to make his dreams a reality now more then ever. Ricky’s turn is now.

With a deep honesty, and raw form, Ricky is passionate, driven, and talented. Ricky’s music exhibits a profound depth not often found in mainstream Hip-Hop/Rap music today. His poetic flow is both inspiring and intoxicating. He speaks from the heart, and his energy is contagious.
