It’s your girl, Queen Meladee, and as Program Director for the 2025 relaunch of Mutant Emcee Radio, it’s both my honor and responsibility to shine light on the artists who represent the new wave of lyricism. Mutant Emcee is not brand new—we’ve been in this space for years—but this relaunch has one mission in mind: to bridge the gap between then and now. We want to connect younger aspiring lyricists with the OGs who set the bar, while also motivating the next generation to raise it even further.

Today, I’m thrilled to introduce you to an artist who embodies that exact mission: Trippy8ce.

Nearly 15 years ago, the original Mutant Emcee project showcased a lineup of forward-thinking artists who embodied the essence of hip-hop. Among those names was AMiAM, an Orlando-based emcee who has since cemented his place as a powerhouse in the underground hip-hop scene. Today, we shine the Mutant Spotlight on AMiAM, celebrating his journey from a promising lyricist to an undeniable force in the culture.
